A space to wonder, explore and create
Young children are naturally curious.
They learn by touching, experimenting, asking questions and trying things for themselves. At Art Play, we celebrate that natural curiosity by creating opportunities for children to discover, make and imagine without pressure or expectation.
There are no templates to copy and no perfect outcomes to achieve.
Instead, children are invited to explore materials, investigate ideas and enjoy the creative process at their own pace in a calm, welcoming environment.
What looks like painting, building, squishing and experimenting is also helping young children develop skills they’ll carry with them as they grow.

Session Flow
Children are welcomed into the studio and invited to explore the creative space. This gentle arrival time allows them to settle in, connect with the environment and transition into a creative mindset.
1
Each session begins with a story, conversation or hands-on invitation that sparks curiosity and introduces the day's theme or materials.
2
Children spend most of the session experimenting with art materials, making discoveries and creating at their own pace. Whilst we gently guide and encourage them, they are allowed the freedom to follow their own ideas and interests.
3
As the session comes to a close, children have the opportunity to share their creations, talk about their discoveries and celebrate the unique ways everyone approached the experience.

"The children were curious, confident and deeply immersed in the creative process. There was no pressure to create something 'perfect,' which encouraged creativity, connection and conversation in a very natural way."
