Week Two
Monday 12th oct | 9:30am - 12:30pm
Canvas Masterpiece
For the ones who love just painting! Absolute beginners can create amazing paintings in only one day. Not quite paint with me, but along side instead. Each kid has time to find an idea and then the guidance to see it through onto canvas for an artwork that holds this part of them in time.
Tuesday 13th oct | 9:30am - 12:30pm
Sculpture Lab
Build, balance, twist and stack! In Sculpture Lab, children will explore shape and texture as they create their own sculptures from a mix of interesting materials. A curious creature, an imaginary invention or an idea that takes shape as they go.
wednesday 14th oct | 9:30am - 12:30pm
Ocean Treasures
Dive into colour, texture and a little underwater imagination! Children will paint, print and create, taking inspiration from ocean creatures, curious rockpools and treasures washed ashore. A colourful reef, a shimmering shell or a sea creature dreamed up along the way.
Session Flow
Children are welcomed into the studio and invited to explore the creative space. This gentle arrival time allows them to settle in, connect with the environment and transition into a creative mindset.
1
Each session begins with a story, conversation or hands-on invitation that sparks curiosity and introduces the day's theme or materials.
2
Children spend most of the session experimenting with art materials, making discoveries and creating at their own pace. Whilst we gently guide and encourage them, they are allowed the freedom to follow their own ideas and interests.
3
As the session comes to a close, children have the opportunity to share their creations, talk about their discoveries and celebrate the unique ways everyone approached the experience.
