Weekly Sessions
-
Art Play is suitable for younger children aged 2-5, while Sparc Club is for primary school aged children 5-12 years who enjoy art and having a little bit of independence when creating.
-
Not at all. Sparc stands for Space for Play, Art and Real Curiosity. We want children to have the opportunity to explore what art is to them by having opportunities to use different materials, imagine possibilities and experiment.
-
Sessions may include painting, clay, collage, sensory play, construction, loose parts, print making and open ended creative invitations.
-
We recommend comfortable clothes that can get messy. Creativity can sometimes travel beyond the table.
-
Absolutely. Some children move quickly between activities while others settle deeply into one idea. Both approaches are welcomed equally at Sparc.
-
The sessions are thoughtfully facilitated, but the creative process itself is open ended and child led rather than step by step.
Birthday Parties
-
Sparc party’s are designed for children aged 2-12, with activities tailored to suit the age group and theme selected.
-
No, but they work within the same theme. Our parties are process-led, which means children are given prompts with in a project and are able to explore and experiment through the process.
-
Absolutely. We can tailor themes, materials and creative experiences to suit your child’s interests and age group.
-
Yes. Sparc parties are available across Southern Tasmania within 20km of Hobart. Additional travel fees may apply outside this area.
-
Anything that you are comfortable with getting a little messy and they are comfortable in whilst they do so :)
-
Of course. Parents and carers are welcome to stay and enjoy the experience alongside the children.
-
Each package includes up to 10 children, with additional guests welcome at $40 per child.
School Holidays
-
Holiday workshops are suitable for children aged 5-12. Each session is possible for a varying ability.
-
Programs may include painting, clay, sensory play, construction, collage, loose parts, nature play and immersive open ended creative experiences.
-
Not at all. Sparc holiday programs are designed for curious kids who love to explore, experiment and create in their own way.
-
Comfortable clothes suitable for messy creativity are always recommended.
-
The sessions are thoughtfully facilitated, but creativity itself remains open ended and process-led rather than step-by-step.
-
Our website has the latest information about booking dates or waitlist fro the next program to become available.

-
Sparc works with schools, early learning centres, festivals, councils, community organisations and family focused events.
-
Workshops can be tailored for children aged 3-12, mixed age groups and family/community participation depending on the event.
-
Yes. Sparc workshops are available across Southern Tasmania, with travel available outside the Hobart area by request.
-
Depending on the workshop, activities may include painting, clay, sensory play, collage, construction, loose parts, nature play and collaborative art making.
-
Absolutely. Every Sparc workshop is designed around your audience, space and the experience you’d like to create.
-
Many workshops naturally encourage parents, carers and community members to create alongside children.
-
Sparc workshops are process-led and open-ended, meaning children are encouraged to explore, experiment and create freely rather than follow one structured outcome.
