ignite creativity,

one spark at a time

For curious kids aged 2-12 who love art, making and creating for the pure joy of it.

It’s the making before breakfast.

Sticky tape everywhere.

Paper scraps scattered across the dining table.

Pens without lids.

Tiny collections carefully gathered and proudly displayed.

Questions. Ideas. Imaginary worlds unfolding right in front of us.

Then somewhere along the way, creativity can begin to feel more structured.

More outcome focused.

More about “what are we making?” and less about what happens while we’re making it.

At Sparc Artspace in Kingston, we believe in the art of play.

Through our process-led art experiences, children have the freedom to create without any expectations or pressure to produce a specific outcome.

Allowing them to focus on the experience of creating and the process of expressing themselves.

We believe creativity grows when children are given space to explore ideas, test possibilities and trust their own thinking.

Every experience at Sparc is thoughtfully designed to nurture imagination, encourage confidence and create connection through hands on creativity and play.

Not every child approaches creativity the same way.

Some children jump straight in.

Others observe first.

Some work quietly and carefully. Others move between materials, ideas and projects with endless enthusiasm.

At Sparc, there’s room for all of it.

Hi, I’m Ash

As both a creative and a parent, I've spent years watching children create. What I've noticed is that the most meaningful moments rarely happen when they're being shown exactly what to make. They happen when children are given the time, materials and freedom to explore their own ideas without the pressure to get it right.

That's why I created Sparc.

Sparc is about more than art classes. It's about building confidence through experimentation, encouraging independent thinking, and creating space for curiosity to lead. It's a place where children can imagine, create, connect and simply be themselves.

Sparc stands for Space for Play, Art and Real Curiosity.

At its heart, Sparc exists to nurture creativity, imagination and the joy of making.
